Over the weekend, we celebrated the 60th birthday of Susanna Bair, co-founder of IAM Heart and leader of the Occupy Your Heart 2012 workshop series coming to 11 cities this year.

How we hate to be stopped, to be blocked, to wait in traffic, to see a project stagnate, to suffer a setback…
We want things to flow.

the warmth of your embrace.
Don’t go.

out in the cold wasteland.
This time I won’t go –
My heart will be part of yours, forever!

Stand up.
Sit down.
Leap into space.
Kneel before me.

The ‘stress curve’ or ‘human performance curve’ posits a bell-shaped relationship between the amount of stress and your performance, so that for a while, more stress increases your performance; at a certain point, though, you hit a peak, and further increases in stress reduce your performance.

When you fly away
you fly to Me.
When you wander,
your aimless steps
lead to Me.
When you cry,
in your loneliness and longing,
it pierces My Heart,
for I long for you, too.
